Rumor: Call Of Duty: WWII Leaked; Promotional Images Revealed

It appears that the 2017 Call Of Duty title will be called Call Of Duty: WWII if the below leaked promotional images are to be believed. Check them out, and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

In 2007, Call of Duty made the jump from World War II to present day warfare with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For a while, fans loved the change but quickly began to feel fatigued by the yearly franchise that seemed to not be making any significant innovations. The series quickly became hated by some of its biggest fans when it jumped into the far-flung future and started introducing weapons that shot lasers. For years, fans have petitioned to bring the series back to its roots and it looks like that may just happen if these leaks are to be believed.

It should be noted that Activision hinted that the series will return to World War 2 (or somewhere probably in the 20th century) in an earnings call just a few weeks ago. Within the next month, Activision will probably reveal the game and have a full gameplay reveal at E3 as per usual.

Lood I realized the other day that it's not the games that I hate, it's the micro transactions that are ruining games. I'll see with this one, a WWII game will be nice. I doubt I'll be about the random guns that don't make sense

Yeah the microtransactions are only loved by the game makers

Agreed, I wouldn't mind a boots on the ground cod 1 year and a futuristic cod the next year and every year it rotates. Supply drops fcking ruined the games imo. I don't even play MWR anymore because of what they did with the game. Fcking stupid.

Could just be nostalgia but Cods 1-3 and WaW were great games, hopefully these rumours turn out to be true

How are they copying battlefield? Don't you think it's time to jump back? It's what the fans have been asking for.

Exactly the point Z06 is making. BF1 does it and gets all the hype and plenty of money for doing it and CoD realizes this not when literally everyone is asking for it but only when they see it works.

However, this looks fairly fake to me. CoD usually goes flashy with their cases. Not dull and un-expressive like this IMO.

You seem to be forgetting the fact that CoD runs on a 3 year development cycle. Battlefield 1 was announced in may 2016. Activision has know for 3 years now that the future games are not popular. Infinite Warfare was already in development by the time Black ops 3 received all the crap. So they aren't coping anyone, they are going with industry trends.

I hope this is true, I want this to happen... There's nothing that'll bring call of duty back but this.. they'll make so much money as everyone will be flooding into play this agame again, gosh I'm excited haha
