Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Lasts 40 Hours On A Single Charge

4.5
The Wii U Pro Controller had a fair few issues – the analog sticks placement, maybe, as well as the general build quality not exactly inspiring confidence – but the one thing that it got absolutely right was the battery life. The Wii U Pro’s prowess in this area was legendary, with the controller going for over 80 hours on a single charge.

It looks like the successor to the controller, the Switch Pro controller, keeps its predecessor’s stamina an penchant for going on forever- according to information gleaned from the back of the packaging for the Switch Pro, the controller will go 40 hours on a single charge. Considering how much more tech the witch Pro packs – it has HD Rumble, highly enhanced motion sensors, and NFC tech – this is seriously impressive. Switch Pro charges over USB, and a cable is included with the controller.

In contrast, the DualShock 4 controller is rated for a maximum of 7 hours of battery life, while the Xbox One controller goes on for 30 hours.

Daniel Sounds pretty good to me, Probably won't last that long when you actually use it though, Seems like I'm forever changing batteries or charging my controllers, Nothing ever lasts as long as it is meant to.

I know exactly what you mean mate.

If only phones could last night long. Such a shame. But I doubt this controller will even last 40 hours as company's always lie about there up time.

I'll probably just end up playing with a usb connected at all times tbh.

Slifer- Wish Xbox would stop making me pay for a play and charge kit and just put it into the controller

I think its actually smart that Xbox makes the rechargables separate, I have a PS4 controller and don't get that 7 hour battery life mentioned, Maybe when I got it new, However now I have to charge it like every 2 hour gaming session. So instead of me being able to pop a battery pack in to fix it, I need to purchase a new controller, Which sucks.

lol i agree that the console will probably suck but a 40 hour battery life doesn't sound bad to me
