Crash Bandicoot remaster release date revealed

4.5
PlayStation has announced when “everyone’s favorite marsupial” will jump into the current generation.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be available on June 30th, 2017. The game will include remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped, all bundled together in a complete Crash package.

The gameplay experience for each title won’t deviate far from their original counterparts, with only a couple changes adding to the fun like a unified save/checkpoint system and new time trials. As for the visuals, they have been drastically upgraded with new lighting and animations, plus enhanced cinematics that will support the PS4 Pro’s 4K resolution.

The blog post announcing the game’s release date was also accompanied by a short FAQ where several of the game’s developers answered some soft-hitting questions, like what was their favorite level to make art for and why did they remake the soundtrack compositions.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be available for $39.99 at launch, coming to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
