Halo 5: Guardians and Forza Motorsport 5 Coming to Steam – Rumor

4.7
Microsoft’s PC gaming initiative has begun to bear fruit a little, with the last few PC ports of their games actually being fairly good. There are, of course, still some problems- Microsoft’s Xbox games are only available on PC via the Windows Store, which is loathed by just about everyone who uses it, and they are tied to the UWP format.

Some Xbox games, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, and Dead Rising 4, have shown up on PC on Steam as Win32 exe files- but none that were actually developed by Microsoft’s internal studios. However, if this rumor on OnMSFT is correct, then we may be seeing some Xbox One exclusives make their way to PC- Xbox One exclusives that aren’t even available via the Windows Store yet.

According to the findings of SteamDB, a reputable site that keeps track of changes in the Steam database, listings for Halo 5: Guardians and Forza Motorsport 5 have been discovered within the Steam database. This seems to imply that the games might launch on Steam at some point in the future (possibly alongside, or after, a Windows Store release)- at the same time, however, it is important to remember that not all Steam database listings pan out. Remember that Halo 3 listing in the Steam database from all those years ago? Ten years later, Halo 3 is still an Xbox 360 exclusive.

This would be crazy considering Halo hasn't been on pc since Halo Combat Evolved.

Most rumors are not true so I highly doubt this is going to be true, I guess time will tell.

LieutenantGaz I'd really enjoy playing Halo with M+KB.

Play Halo Online then, it's all the Halos mashed into one pc multiplayer.

Halo online just isnt the same to me. Id much rather play an actual halo like halo 4

Nicholas Why would Halo move to steam? It's a microsoft exclusive.

Just because it's a exclusive don't mean shit nowadays. Now forza is on pc. It's a smart move to move it to Steam as many people are still on Windows 7 and 8 and don't have access to the games they release in the store.

I want a Halo 3 anniversary sold as a standalone game for either PC or Xbox One. That would make me so happy, I hope they actually do it for both. I do prefer to play FPS on my Xbox rather than PC because I suck with M+KB so I use my Xbox controller on PC and obviously for the most part get slapped because a person with M+KB skills is much more effective than a guy like me who has controller skills so I'm hoping it's either Xbox exclusive or multi platform for PC and Xbox.
