Bioware scraps season pass for Mass Effect: Andromeda and teases DLC reveal.

It’s official. Mass Effect: Andromeda won’t have a season pass.

Bioware General Manager Aaryn Flynn was asked whether there would be a season pass for the game on Twitter and replied, “Nope.”

When asked to clarify whether all DLC would be free, if it only extended to multiplayer, or if there would be a campaign DLC at all, Flynn said, “We’ll talk more about that later :)”

Meanwhile, Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble confirmed on Twitter that EA Access and Origin Access members on Xbox One and PC will be able to play the title before launch.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 21 in North America, and March 23 in Europe.

No season pass kinda sucks but not a deal breaker for me.

That isn't much to work on but I am interested to see where this will go.

They won't be handing out free dlc's, dlc makes money.

TomPosted:

well that must mean they may have other ideas for the future of DLC for the game. For sure they wont be handing out all DLCs for free

ZydrinPosted:

Does that mean free dlc? :D If so that would be pretty amazing!

This sucks for those who will be getting this game.

iApplePro Good, stop charging us for stuff after we buy the game!

Bruh....
A season pass would be cheaper than buying each dlc individually.
Companies will never not do dlc's. Some games offer free dlc content like Halo 5.

Disc they wont be making as much money off us little nerds :)

They never said there wont be DLC, or that the DLC will be free only that theres no season pass. If they offered a season pass for £30, they could release each DLC at £15 or £20 and do 3 or 4 DLC's over the next 2 years. Thats potentially £45-£60 rather than the £30.

so really are they just now going to make more money ?

That's unfortunate, but at least this will be the full full game.
