Halo: Reach doubled sales of Xbox 360 in the UK last week, according to Gfk-ChartTrack.The firm’s director, Dorian Bloch, said the game had a “marked effect” on hardware sales with Xbox 360 console sales “up 99 percent” for the week ending September 18.GAME’s limited-edition Halo-themed Xbox 360 also played a part in the hardware surge, according to Eurogamer. That’s not bad as far as hardware sales are concerned. Not 1000 percent, but not bad either.Reach moved around 300K copies during its first 24-hours during its UK debut last week, and had the fifth biggest game launch week ever.

Halo fans started to stop playing 360 because of how long its been since the Halo series has been continued. Halo: Wars did not cause much of a stir back in 2008 because it did not follow along with the rest of the Halo series. All of those gamers who once played Halo, got bored, and sold or trashed their Xbox 360's have now joined us again in the fight against the covenant.

EPIC DUH! The first FPS to be released since the summer break plus it's Halo so a big community too! Were people expecting sales to go down from 5% or lower rather than up or something? seriously this is so expected and yet people are still surprised for some reason..
