The hacker Marcan42 from the famous group Fail0verflow demonstrated a new exploit in PlayStation 4 console with version 4.05 firmware.

The presentation made during the event CCC33, shows how hackers were able to make compliant Linux architecture of the PS4. Marcan42 repeatedly explained that despite the seeming properties, the console is significantly different from what we now call IBM compatible PC.

The attack used the technique man-in-the-middle against PCIE bus console and let's ride on Steam as a demonstration that 3D hardware acceleration works.

Developments in the current version of the exploit are improved compatibility on Linux with some of the functions of the PS4, and that before the exploit required firmware 1.76. This time he was carried off the console with 4.05 but representative Fail0verflow confirmed that it did not intend to release exploit code publicly.
