“Strong Demand” For Xbox One On Black Friday Says Microsoft

4.6
According to Microsoft The Xbox One had a strong showing on Black Friday.

According to a statement made by Mike Nichols who is the VP of marketing of Xbox

“There was strong demand for Xbox hardware, accessories, games and Xbox Live engagement on Black Friday, based on initial results, with a strong start to the holiday season”

Microsoft offered no indications regarding hardware sales however, this mirrors a recently similar post made by a Ubisoft executive who said that the PS4 sold around 2 million consoles in Black Friday week. The only difference being the fact that it was a third party who was making a statement on behalf of Sony.

The console wars heated up this past week with a number of terrific discounts available on both consoles, the Xbox One S was offered for only $ 250 while a number of other first and third party games were available at extremely discounted prices.

However it’s interesting to note that Microsoft’s statements say that it had a strong engagement , which quite possibly indicates the fact that it was not record breaking or quite possibly lived up to the expectations. Hence it is a bit unclear if Microsoft had a phenomenal or just an above average Black Friday.

After two years of coming in second to the PS4 almost every single month, Microsoft has indeed come a long way in capturing the hearts and minds of gamers all over the world, and it is great to see the console that once promised so much is finally starting to deliver.

There were some great deals is why!

It's no suprise they did sell for the lowest, in my opinion buying an Xbox One S was a way better deal than getting a PS4 Pro. The Bundles were great for the Xbox One S as well!
