Battlefield 1 is “Biggest Launch in DICE History”

4.4
DICE’s Battlefield 1 has been a great success since launching on October 21st. According to the developer, which released an infographic covering the first 10 days for the FPS spanning from October 18th to 27th, 59 million hours were collectively spent by players in-game.

Nine million of those hours were in Operations mode. Around 32 million Battlepacks earned and 1.6 million Behemoth vehicles later, the Scout knife was judged the most dangerous melee weapon while horses were the best soldier-killing vehicle at 5.8 million kills.

DICE has noted Battlefield 1 to be its biggest launch in company history due to the daily active player count. As of now, the developer noted that it was ahead of Battlefield 4 when comparing launch week player numbers (though exact figures haven’t been provided).

What are your thoughts on Battlefield 1 at this point? Did it live up to the hype for you? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.

I purchased this game and played it once. Maybe I should give it another try.

Greatest game of DICE history.

ClimaticCamel They did something that no other company was looking to do. Call of Duty further expands into the future and yet Battlefield goes back to world war one and does a amazing job at it. Can't wait for the updates.

I'm with this, it's kind of boring only going forward.

That's crazy. I tried operations and I don't know why it is such a big deal amongst players.

Mickers I love the game and I can't wait to see what the future holds for it.

I noticed DICE dropped their trailer video after Call of Duty dropped theres as if they waited for the public opinion on COD IW & then they dropped theirs after. Smart Company to go with the public opinion and keep the fans happy

DICE knew that most cod fans wanted an world war game again, so they waited for cod to drop there video and let all the fan get disappointed again, then dice drop there video to be like look cod fans we are listening to our fans

Knew this would be a record breaker and will continue to break them. Well deserved. Happy for DICE. Listen to your community and not your shareholders. A+
