Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare UK sales down almost 50% on Black Ops 3

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare released last week and the reviews haven’t been too shabby.

So it’s a bit of a surprise to see that sales of Infinite Warfare in the UK are down 48.4% compared to last year’s Black Ops 3 launch. The latter did have the benefit of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 to bump its numbers, but accounting for the extra platforms, sales are still down by almost 44% according to Gfk Chart Tracker.

Whether the drop in numbers is down to disgruntled players who have jumped ship with the introduction of what some might call a pay-to-win multiplayer model, or just simply fatigue with the series is anyone’s guess, but the title still managed to debut at the top of the charts.

Battlefield 1 dropped down to no. 2, followed by FIFA 17 and Skyrim. You can check out this week’s top 10 titles below.

I still need to play this but I will probably just play the cod 4 remastered.

Although i am one of these that are yet to buy the game, i am surprised they are down almost 50%...

This is stupid, imo infinite warfare is a great game and it's been the only cod since bo2 which has got me on a grind, the zombies is better than ever imo and the servers are on point, rarely ever lag. I wouldn't say it's pay to win it's more like a play to win it's not exactly like the guns are restricted to being bought with real money. Anyways that's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter what the people who haven't bought the game think, I just think they're missing out on a quality game. As for COD4 remastered, that was just so over rated and i still prefer the original game, it's pretty much just snipers/campers but the campaign is really good to play.
