Call of Duty: World at War is now backwards compatible on Xbox One

Microsoft announced today that Call of Duty: World at War is now backwards compatible on Xbox One. Call of Duty 3 was announced just last week. There is now a total of four backwards compatible Call of Duty titles on Xbox One.

Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World at War, and Call of Duty Black Ops are the four Call of Duty titles available on Xbox One.

Larry Hyrb also made note that all backwards compatible Call of Duty games can now be directly purchased through the Xbox One.

Glad it is to an extent. I'm charging $2 for mods making decide money on that modding said. Wish BO2 would come but on the other hand not worth playing legit as to many modders.

I think they wont be allowed to do the Modern Warfare's since they might be remaking them all, but hopefully BO2.


You don't know that and even if they remaster it they can still add it to the compatible list like for instance Gears of war.


He said he thinks man, but I'm really hoping there is MW backward compatible games.

I think this could be a thing now that they're going to release Cod4 very soon and MW2. As Xbox has released WAW on the Xbox One.

"Now ALL back compat COD titles are purchasable". I guess that means mw2 is gonna go through the same shit cod4 is, hopefully the cod it's paired with is worth buying
