Forza Horizon and All of Its DLC Being Removed From Sale on October 20

4.8
Forza Horizon and all of its DLC will be removed from sale on Xbox 360 on October 20, 2016. The game will still be available for those who wish to purchase a disc version, but the digital version and any and all DLC you may desire to obtain will have been removed by that time.

Those who already own the game and any DLC will still have access to download the content, just not obtain new content for it. This delisting also happened to DLC for Forza Motorsport 4 in September of 2015.

While we’re reveling in the euphoria of launching a brand-new Forza game, I do have an important update regarding the original Forza Horizon. On October 20, the original Forza Horizon for Xbox 360 will reach “End of Life” status. That means that the game and its associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase. Players who own Forza Horizon before that date will still be able to download and play the game and its associated content as normal. After that date, however, Forza Horizon and its associated DLC will no longer be for sale.

Licensing issues no doubt, kind of dumb.

Kinda sucks that you won't be able to buy the DLC anymore.

Yeah I was wondering what's the reason for them to delete the DLC for players to play on but it most probably for Licence Transferring? It's a shame though if you think about it. RIP

Nothing new. They've done this before with Guitar Hero and other rhythm games. Like everyone is saying, it's most likely has to do with licensing.

Nick Is this like a copyright or a license thing with the vehicles?

It looks like it. It could also have something to do with Microsoft wanting the game to make the game kinda "rare". Atari's wouldnt be collectable if they were still being made and produced today. I know Atari's and Forza are different things but there's not much difference in whats going to happen

Halo Strange, why not just keep it up there?

I assume It has to do with licensing deals on all of the cars.

Ah okay. Didn't know that was a thing

Truly a strange thing. Not sure why they'd remove it.
