Rumor: Red Dead Redemption remaster to be announced this week

4.4
There are rumors that suggest we could be seeing a Red Dead Redemption remaster reveal soon. A Korean game site, Gamefocus says Rockstar Games is working on remastering Red Dead Redemption for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Korea is set to get the PC and PlayStation 4 versions, but there were no confirmation if they Xbox One version will be available. The Korean game site states the remaster announcement will come this week, possibly during Sony’s PlayStation meeting on Wednesday, with a release in the first half of 2017.

If anything, it would seem more likely for Rockstar Games to announce Red Dead Redemption 2 rather than seeing a remaster of the six year old game.

Seeing as this is a rumor, it is best you take this with a grain of salt.

What's the point in remastering it? Its fine with it being backwords compatible

I really don't see a point to a remaster, it runs fine on xbox one as a backwards compatible title

I never actually played this game so i would love remastered version

Recon Bring it to BC and a bit later make a remaster? Business wise, makes no sense. So I feel like this rumor isn't a thing.

Yeah, a bit of a bad call imo.

What a waste. They bring it BC, then make us spend more money to get a new version?

Mhm already have the game to play backwards compatibility, but if the remastered looks good I'll buy.

Merchandise It was just released backwards compatible

For Xbox One only. PS4 and PC have yet to get the game so this would be an awesome release for those of us using the other platforms.

The remaster would make more sense if this was a PC exclusive sort of release.

Would be great to see a remastered version of this game.
