Infinity Ward Comments On Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Backlash

4.6
Nobody can forget the race between Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and EA DICE’s Battlefield 1 to the most disliked and most liked trailer on YouTube respectively. Now that time has passed and everything has calmed down, the studio is starting to express their opinion in the community’s reception and how they are dealing with it.

Narrative lead Taylor Kurosaki recently sat down with Eurogamer during Gamescom, and commented on how Infinity Ward dealt and continues to deal with negative comments towards Infinite Warfare. He talked about the increasingly positive reception towards new reveals and announcements.

“What we’ve been seeing is, the more assets we put out, the more the response has got more positive, I’m glad the trend is the way it is. The more people see the narrative, the zero-G combat… They’ve seen Jackal [the game’s fighter jet] gameplay – which is not on-rails, it’s not a one-off.”

“[The criticism] strengthened our resolve. We just had to get back to it and complete our mission. Reyes has a mission to complete, we do too. It’s amazing how analogous some of these things are – the burden of leadership is something a lot of people at the studio feel.”Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases on November 4 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

We need to stop bashing it so hard before it even comes out. Chances are most of you will buy it anyway hahaha.

Lol the community here is trash CoD haters. No need to bash a game before it's even released. I'm going to laugh at yall when this is one of the more successful CoDs in recent history.

Skates This game will still be trash, sad thing is I'll still buy it. Only for cod4 thoough so gg IW.

...but how do you know that though? You haven't played the game so for you to say the game is "trash" wtf.

I think this will be okay to play, I got a funny feeling about this game that the game for me is going to be boring. I'm going to get bored of this game too early. The thing I hate hearing about this CoD is that the fact it's based in space. Not a fan of that idea.

Lost As long as there are spaceships and people flying through the air a lot of people won't be playing it, including myself.

I believe all the flying about stuff is only for the campaign and the multiplayer is boots on the ground.

"Reyes has a mission to complete, we do too."

Delusional, I'm sure the stakeholders are getting their pick forks ready. What else is he going to say. Well we missed the mark yes the game is shit we wont release it and drop the pile of shit next to ET in some land fill to be dug up in a documentary years from now.

Bla bla bla, just self proclaimed hype.Take you meds and move on.

OPPosted:

Halo
Yin I was on the fence when it was announced. I am now looking forward to it. I'm not going to lie and say I am excited for it, but it looks like a solid game so far. Just need to see multiplayer to confirm that feeling. Remastered CoD 4 is a great bonus.

Did they say when they were going to show off the multiplayer?

I believe they will show it at their COD XP event, which Google is saying is September 2-4.
