Popular Xbox 360 title Blue Dragon will become backwards compatible on Xbox One. Phil Spencer confirmed on Twitter this week that the game is currently being worked on for backwards compatibility on Xbox One. Phil Spencer did not provide a release date, but I am sure fans will be happy to hear this.

Take a look at Phil Spencer's response to a fan about the game.

Vec This is NOT what you call popular!? Instead of them taking all this time releasing shitty arcade games why don't they just put some time into making MW2, COD4 or BO2 backwards compatible?! I really don't get it lmao. Tf is going on the Next-Gen.

Because it's a hell of a lot easier and infinity warfare is doing that for you

Some people just don't appreciate things. Not every backwards compatible game has to be Call of Duty smh

Well the thing is 100% of people on next gen don't specifically play cod like you everyday. Personally I got tired of Call of Duty after Black ops and Mw2 everything since is just farce. Being cod4 the best.
Also the reason behind cod 4's not compatibility is because its coming with infinity warfare.
The reasoning behind so many people never hearing of it or even playing is simply because of when it was released and how quiet the release was. It was like it just popped up on the shelf one day at my local family video and I decided to give it a go, to my surprise when I opened the case it was a multiple disc game being 3 exact. This in its time and age blew my mind I had never seen multi disc games It was so long ago. In any case it was popular among Jrpg fans which isn't a big genre on the xbox also being as to why it's not as popular as you think. Though if you are a trye JRPG fan you will know Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey among a few others are kings in the JRPG genre and what leads them to being considered 'popular' in that category. Just because you've never heard of something doesn't mean its not popular. Visit Korea for instance youll find a shit ton of popular mmos and such we've never even heard of. So before you go and say this game wasn't popular among ALL xbox games YOU know just remember It might not But IT IS one of the most popular in the JRPG category and for the fans that love this category *including me* Should know of this game and love to hear the news if they enjoyed the game and got through its story.

Decent game, Loved this back on the original 360, Really good RPG game that took untold hours to complete! 3 disks for one game was crazy. Glad to see they are bringing this as it was one of my favourites.

I haven't heard of this either. Doesn't seem like many of us have heard of this. Maybe it's worth looking into if it's supposedly popular.

About 99% of these backwards compatible games I've never heard of. They better do something really special soon.
Aka... Modern Warfare 2
