When I attempt to enable XMP in my bios and go to use my computer it causes my CPU to overheat. Does any know of any potential causes of this? |

What XMP setting are you selecting?
Are you changing anything else in BIOS? What CPU do you have, what RAM do you have(as specific as possible), and what is the make and model of your motherboard? Also, what's the make and model of your PSU? |

Sorry fellas that would've been some good information to include originally.
CPU: i7 10700k Ram: Teamgroup ddr4 2 16g sticks (will update with exact model number) Motherboard: MSI z490 unify Power supply: unsure but will update once I'm off work GPU: RTX 3060Ti FTW3 Storage: 1tb ssd (will update) For my bios all I've done in it was enable the XMP profile, save, and exit. My computer blue screened the first game I loaded and I went back in and disabled it and left it alone. |
