I'm kind of interested in mw2 but with all of the problems it has I'm not sure whether or not to get it. I'm hearing mixed things about it. Is it a good game despite all the issues it has?

SBMM is strong, but it slower paced than old cods. If you have a console like Xbox buy it and if you don't like refund it the next day. Get a test for yourself

I was watching a couple of my friends play the game. They're good players but even SBMM is rough. They've learned their lesson and fixed the way SBMM works.

They use a system that Apex uses called EOMM, So the game goes "oh you have a .80 KD overall but you had a 3.0 last TDM you played, you're ready for the big league's, here's a team of people with 2.0kd+, good luck." So in return if you do bad consistently it will throw you into lobbies with people who was also doing bad. Which is also a bad system since people can deliberately throw games to get into those lobbies and farm content for tiktok/youtube etc.

Besides that, the campaign was fantastic, i also watched a friend play that and it was/looked amazing.

Honest review from someone who used to compete in tournaments/LANs (stopped playing after Black Ops 3, game took a direction I disliked.)

Firstly, the campaign was really good. A lot of tactical realism and sometimes I couldn't tell between a cutscene and gameplay from how nice the graphics were. The game could be kind of buggy during the campaign but nothing to ruin it. The missions were very fun and the game flowed nicely about 15-20 hours of gameplay. This game felt much more difficult than previous games.

Moving onto multiplayer and specifically SBMM. I really don't think SBMM is that strong this game. I play DOM and Hardpoint and 9/10 games I am top fraggin' and winning. Many teammates ignore the objective but that's CoD for you and the camo grind forcing people to play a bit different (longshots, mounted kills, crouched kills ect).

This game has made me really enjoy CoD again and I would recommend to a friend but it is a CoD game it will get stale! The camos are easy to grind for and there is a lot of variety when it comes to guns. One thing I miss is the old prestige system and if I got that back would never stop playing.
