Hey all. Quick Question about my new build. First I will list the major components in case that's helpful.
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: RTX 3080
RAM: 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600
PSU: Corsair 1000 watt Gold, Fully Modular
Case: Corsair iCUE 4000x

Now to my airflow question...

I will be front mounting (barbs down) a 280mm aio with 2x 120mm fans for the cpu. This will be an intake. I will have a single Noctua NF-F12 120mm in the rear of the case as an exhaust. Finally, I will be top mounting 2 Corsair 120mm fans that came with the case. In your opinion, should the 2 top mounted fans be configured for intake or exhaust? I can think of reasons for both ways, but this is my first custom build since 2009 so I'd like some more experienced users advice. Thanks in advance!

Edit: the AIO has 140mm fans, not 120mm. my bad.

2 front, 3 exhaust will be fine. Otherwise the rear exhaust will be fighting the top intake's and will do nothing to reduce the temps.

Thanks for the reply! Seems like solid logic and I frankly I'm happy to hear it because that's how I have them currently installed and now I won't have to swap them. Cheers!

Exactly the one flaw i've noticed when using the 4000 series. Great airflow, horrible limited fan config.
