I've been there only once, in Amman (the Middle East) when I was 11 for the birthday party of a VERY rich kid. It really had a restaurant feel.

It certainly isn't an archetypical Applebees though, so certainly not the best example, but perhaps it gives an idea of the international image of the chain and maybe even some insight into the image the company wants to have?

Tonight I microwaved a stouffer's mac n cheese meal and it was pretty fast, only like 5 minutes of total cook time. I'd definitely call that fast food, and considering that the applebees kitchen undertakes a similar lift in order to make their meals, I think that means it counts as fast food as well. The transitive property or something.
