Hi Folks:

I had Fry's assemble my new PC in March of 2018 .

Bucks were tight so I cheeped out and got an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 on an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard.

I decided to get 64 Gig of memory.

Control Panel > System shows that I have 32 Gig.

I've been too busy to talk to Fry's about the missing memory, and now Fry's is gone.

I'd like to access more memory.

Any idea why I'm not seeing it?

Thanks
Larry

Does it just show 32 Gb RAM installed? or does it say 64 Gb installed (34 Gb available)?

If it's the latter you could simply try re-seating your RAM. Nine times out of ten that will fix it right up.

If it's the former, though, chances are either you might not have got what you payed for, or a couple banks went bad. My advice is to un-seat your RAM and check the labels on each bank for the capacity. If you've summed it up and got 64 Gb in total then a few banks have gone bad, re-seat them one by one to check which ones. If you've summed up and got 32 Gb in total, however... then I'm afraid to say it but, you got ripped off.
