Realistically if you're itching to upgrade I think you'd be best off going with an entirely new setup.

12 gen intel stuff and AMD 7000 series are brand new, but even 11th gen/5000 series would be a solid place to look IMO.
I run a 5600x and it's never left me wanting more personally, it's handled every game I've thrown at it very well, glad I didn't bother with a 5900x.

Then the 40 series cards just got announced, so you have to figure out whether that's something you want to hold out for or if you wanna pick up a 30 series card now that they aren't being scalped like crazy.

The GPU is always gonna be the biggest single factor in terms of gaming performance in the machine, with that said you might end up bottlenecking a 30 or 40 series card trying to run it with a 2600x.

So figure out the GPU, get that first but I'd definitely recommend upgrading both if either.

Update the B450 to its latest bios, grab a second hand or new 5th gen CPU. Profit. As far as GPU market is still very iffy. Just be mindful of where and what you're paying.
