It'll be a proprietary Dell motherboard inside a proprietary case, with a proprietary PSU. Upgrading systems like this can be a nightmare, and sometimes more hassle than it's worth.

I can't see any spec sheet or manual for your specific motherboard, but I can't imagine an i5 or i7 wouldn't be supported. So I'd try to find a cheap Sandy Bridge i5(like i5-2400) or i7(i7-2600) and slot that in.
Then I would probably want to add more RAM, but you'll only have 2 DIMM slots and the motherboard might not even support more than 8GB RAM.

After that, your only real upgrade option is GPU and that's going to be limited, something like a GTX 1050Ti is probably your best bet that will be compatible. Otherwise you'll need to upgrade the case, motherboard, and PSU.
