| So I was curious if I would be able to create a desktop PC with multiple GPU's 2-3 in the same case without it getting to hot and having the GPU's work together. I want it to look all cool like with one of the clear desktop cases but am concerned about the heat. Is it possible to run 2 to 3 GPU's in one of those clear deaktop cases? I want to create it for gaming and to crack password hashes faster but if I have all that GPU power I mine as well use it for mining too right. Or would it running 24/7 like that create to much heat. If so would it still work if I just wanted to create it for gaming and what not? What is probably the limit of GPU's I can get away with in one of those cases after adding all the other necessary componets? |

You need to consider all the roles in place.
aesthetics are not defined by what's in your case exactly. A single card, some nice cables with a modular PSU and mood lighting goes a long way even with included coolers etc. If you want my realistic perspective for password hashing. Get a used rackable server and a decent GPU. The power draw will be considerably less if you know what you're doing and the efficiency is tenfold dollar for dollar unless you're planning on dropping $2k+ on a modern system. |

| Well power is not really an issue at the moment. I just more or less want to know if I purchased a nice case with extra cooling capability could I realistically be able to run 3 GPUs without causing damage to the system? I figured the setup would run somewhere between 2,500 and 3 grand which wouldn't be to much of a problem if I save up. Or the other option to cut costs would be just to get a decent case and put 2 GPUs in it and spend a little more on other componets/accessories. I might do that actually. That shouldn't be a problem with cooling should it. How do I know how much cooling I will need? |

This is what I am using(the best and largest corsair case they sell and probably the most space on the market). Example: corsair.com/us/en/obsidian-1000d-case 2. If your motherboard doesn't have enough PCI-E slots you can use a "riser card". Example of many different types and looks: amazon.com/Kingwin-Powered-Adapte...9&th=1 3. You probably need all of the exact same brand graphics cards and they have to support SLI. Reason is the NVLINK plugin has to be there and line up. I am not allowed to explain that on this forum. |

16 wrote You need to consider all the roles in place. 10/10 post. OP- Multi-GPU set-up is probably not going to be much use to you. Especially not when it comes to gaming. If you really want to though, then just have an adequate PSU and cooling, you'll be fine. |
