I bought a new M.2 for my gaming PC and it left me with a 850 EVO 2TB without a home. So I decided to put it in my Xbox One X. I got the scripts and cloned the original drive with the larger user partition. I installed the new drive, but now the Xbox doesn't work.

It powers up but I get a black screen. The controllers will wake it but not connect. So I downloaded the off-line updates. I pulled the drive and added the files to the system update A folder and a USB drive and connected the partially assemble Xbox and held in the eject/connect buttons. I got a screen, it went through the updates, I got to the play screen, and it looked like I was golden. I finished reassembling the box and it went back to the black screen. Controllers wake the box but won't connect. Boot from USB doesn't work. There has to be a connector issue or the XBox just doesn't like this particular drive.

Anyone have any tips?

How did you set up the drive? Windows or Ubuntu?
