Wooden toothpicks are useful for little bits of dirt/dust, especially for the charging port.

What I've gotten from apple is using a q-tip to dig out the big grime from the airpod hole (assuming it's an airpod pro. I've also seen people lightly use a toothpick to dig out grime pressed into the speaker part. For the charging port here is a link to a tool to help clean it, or use a smaller flat hook tool to pull it out. This tool works better though.

Personally I never use baby wipes on any of my devices, for the AirBuds I recommend needle/pin & a lot of compressed air you would be supposed how much the compressed air cleans stuff up on its own.

Your charging port should be really easy to clean out either using the same tools as the AirBuds or a really small hook but I do recommend that when you are pulling the fluff/gunk out of the charging port you push up from the bottom corner to the opposite top corner inside the port to scrape out I have replaced many charging ports due to people just pushing the pin into the port to try grab the dust out and they damage the port.

You can buy compressed air in cans lucky for me I have compressor, the best tools for this job is honestly the same tools the Denist use.
