Happy Monday my TTGers.

Just wondered if anyone has had any experience / knows of anyone using a Shadow PC.

I do currently have a very capable machine, however, the concept got me interested - I pre-ordered in November 2020 and I am due for activation in the next week.

My current PC spec -

R5 3600x
16gb RAM
NVIDIA 2060 OC

Shadow PC spec -

4c/8t CPU
12gb RAM
GTX 1080 / equivalent

Just looking for peoples thoughts on the brand etc.

If anyone fancies giving it a go & saving a bit of £/$ on their first month drop me a PM so we can both benefit.

I have used shadow in the past and tbh my experience was very underwhelming. I too have a very capable PC so shadow isn't really worth it for me. People with lower end machines however can benefit from using shadow but you have to keep in like that in order to have a decent experience, you need a fast and stable internet connection.

I think the idea behind shadow is very cool although it has its pros and cons so it depends on your situation and what games you plan to play etc. If you are planning to play single player games or games that don't require fast actions such as fps etc then you will be fine. If you plan to play fast paced games however, you will be at a big disadvantage due to FPS and latency so you also have to keep that in mind.

My brother uses shadow pc to play rainbow and while hes not great its not the shadow pc, so long you have a good internet connection shadow pc is actually pretty incredible for certain things and if you dont really have a capable pc it can be pretty nice to have.

I think its a lot more preferable to say Geforce Now which is similar but doent allow you to use a full desktop pc.
