Long story short, theres an item i wanna buy but its only up for bids. My quesiton is how close to the time can i get before they stop taking bids. Like 5 mins before? Or like right up to the last second? I only ask because some sites are different and i dont know how ebays works.

Up untl the very last second..

Just make sure you are there within the last couple mins. preferably on a pc, and watch closely.

Like Rob said but you can also make your bid automatically bid higher until it reaches a set price so if you want the item that badly, you could always do that.

Its usually seconds before the bidding ends. You can set up your automatic highest bid but someone can just keep bidding until they outbid you on that highest price you made. I usually set a reminder for something I really want and then I wait like 2 minutes before timers up and I start bidding.

I have had bidding wars right to the last second and still have lost as of right now if your bidding on graphics cards it can cost you a lot more then you want to pay. All those people who are scalping right now really sucks. And a lot of them are used so be careful. I was lucky and was able to purchase a 4 yr old graphics card. For my next pc build was under a $180 probably not the best card but it will work for the games my customer is wanting to play
