| hey guys, so my pc is having a boot issue, i turn it on and the lights come on and my graphics card fans start spinning but nothing comes up on the monitor and the lights and fans shut off, then a couple seconds later they turn on by themselves and then repeat that over and over and never boots at all, what would be the issue or anything i can try to get it going? |

Loads of things you can do. If it's beeping, take note of the beeps and google it along with your motherboard manufacture. That'll tell you whats going wrong // what it can't detect.
If you have a look at your motherboard, there might be some lights that indicate what's wrong. Turn on your PC, look for some lights. It'll be like CPU/RAM/GPU written onto the motherboard itself as per what LED is showing. Apart from that, basic troubleshooting steps like taking things out and putting them back in. |

| I had an issue not long ago like this i removed my RAM and clicked it back in then it worked, also stripping everything can some times help |

If you don't see anything on your monitor when it powers, it sounds like something to do with your RAM. Try reseating the RAM in the same slots you have them in. If that doesn't work, try putting them in the opposite RAM slots. If you have multiple sticks, try using just one or the other to narrow down if one of them is bad. If you've tried all of that, it is just a matter of going one by one through your components to see what is bad. Definitely is hardware related though. |

Few options here... Firstly:
What are your PC Specs? MOBO - CPU - RAM - GPU - HDD/SSD - PSU - MOBO - Motherboard CPU - Central Processing Unit RAM - Random Access Memory GPU - Graphics Card / Graphics Processing Unit HDD/SSD - Hard Drive Device, Hard Drive/Solid State Device PSU - Power Supply Unit OS - Operating Systtem IHS - Internal Heat Spreader (the silver-like part of the CPU) Heat Sink - Item placed ontop of a CPU's IHS in order to displace heat. PCI - Slots on a motherboard used for mainly GPUs, otherwise usable for storage, bluetooth, sound cards, and much more. Details: When did this problem begin occuring? Did you try to overclock your PC? Did you upgrade/downgrade CPU and or RAM? Have you heard any sounds from your PC? (mainly a clicking like sound is what I'd think for.) Any smell coming from your PC? (burning electronics?) Water cooling or air? If water cooling, any leaks? (usually the water will leave behind a sticky residue once it's evaporated) Motherboard: What code(s) is your motherboard displaying? Did you feel any electrostatic discharge while placing the motherboard into your case? Was there any damage to the motherboard upon installation? Was the PC working prior to this issue occuring? CPU: Did you upgrade or downgrade your CPU? (If so you may need a bios update.) Did you apply any form of thermal compound to your CPU IHS? Has any thermal compound leaked off the CPU and into the socket? Is the CPU Heatsink applied fully and correctly? Do you have the power cables plugged into their respective places? Is your CPU Heatsink plugged into the motherboard? RAM: Is the RAM seated correctly? 1 Stick, slot one. 2 sticks, slot 2 and 4. 3 Sticks, slot 1, 2, 4. Is the RAM actually compatible to your motherboard? (Check RAM Speeds and GB amount with manufacturer) GPU: Remove the GPU, use the motherboard's HDMI, DP, VGA, and or DVI connection. (If it turns on and works. GPU failure) Is the GPU slotted in the first or second slot of the motherboard? (Some older motherboards would slow up a GPU and even fail it in the old days, rather rare now, still though. Always a good idea to put it in the first slot.) Is the GPU seated and locked into place? (Some MOBOs have a small tab you have to push on the PCI lanes in order to lock, then you screw it down. Otherwise it can end up slightly out of place and fail to boot.) HDD/SSD: Did you hear any clicking sounds coming from the HDD? (If so, possible HDD failure) Did you try moving your OS to a different drive? (May have to reinstall OS entirely. Hope you got the disc or USB!) Are the SATA and cables plugged into the motherboard and HDD/SSD? Are the power cables plugged into the HDD/SSD and into the PSU? PSU: What is the wattage rating on your PSU? (you have one that cannot support your motherboard, displays, GPU, etc. Quite literally being too low in wattage. Example, no 400 watt PSU is supporting an i9-9900k and 3080.) How old is the PSU? |

| I'd try Wuk's suggestion but from my experience of this happening it was due to the motherboard being fried. You can also check your HDD and see if there is any issue with wiring or what not. |

| i had this same issue, literally only boots with only 2 ram sticks in, ive swapped them out and all four work just only runs with two idk |
