Over the last few days I've been having a blast from the past playing some old call of duty titles, so far I've completed Black Ops 1 & 2, Modern Warfare 2 and tried some Black ops 3. I made this topic to bring up some nostalgia on it as I find it interesting hearing everyone's thoughts. I have so many questions but I'll start with the basics!
What was your favourite COD title & why? What was the weapons you miss the most? If you was to hear incredible news of a possible remake/remaster, which title would you love to see? Mine would be, MW2 because everything about the game was incredible, colours, movement, weapons campaign was insane and maps, omfg. Out of every tittle my most missed weapon was MW2 FAL or Black ops 2 M8A1. If I could choose the a COD remaster I'd probably choose .. drum roll, Black ops 2. Believe it or not, MW2 I have had fond memories of and I wish for it to stay untouched. Future players won't ever understand they hype. Black ops 2 however, it bring insane multiplayer, zombies and campaign. PS. When I say remaster, I don't mean like MWR lmao. |

I'll apologise in advance for the short essay.
That's a tough one being that I've been playing CoD since the early days of the original Modern Warfare & World at War. Although if I had to choose one, I think I'd probably go with MW3 as it's the CoD where I met a lot of the friends I still currently play with. Black Ops 2 would definitely be a close second as I thoroughly enjoyed the Zombies on it, sitting up until the early hours of the morning going for high rounds with friends. As far as weapons go, I definitely miss a lot of the weapons from MW2. Mainly the likes of the RPD, FAL, ACR, UMP45, G18, M93 R, the broken akimbo model shotguns and obviously no MW2 weapons list would be complete without the weapon that I feel truly introduced quickscoping, as much as the R700 is the OG. I feel MW2 is where quickscoping erupted. Notable mentions definitely include the MSR from MW3, as well as the PP90 also can't forget how broken the akimbo FMGs where. Also wouldn't be a weapons list without the KSG, MSMC, PDW, Ballista, Honey badger, SMR or the Speakeasy Doctor variant from Advanced Warfare. I'll stop there, i'll refrain from just listing almost every weapon in CoD history, I think you get the gist. As far as a remaster goes, I think I'm with you on the front where MW2 should never be touched. As you say, so many good memories from simpler times, and my god the game chat. For me it would be a three way splitbetween either MW3, Black Ops 2 or Ghosts. Again, mainly because it's those CoDs I truly enjoyed just playing with friends. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy WZ and BOCW, but those older games where just so much simpler. The thought had crossed my mind with Black Ops 1, but that would have mainly been for the zombies and those old maps, most of which have been remastered one way or another. tl;dr too many good weapons, MW3, BO2 or Ghosts needs remastered with the same game engines, literally just need updated graphics and released as they where. |

Best COD to date has got to be
cod 4 everything about it, the competitive, all the glitches free runs bounces elevators it was great |

COD4 best overall COD to me and so many great memories. I believe this COD was the best competitive wise this COD got me into gamebattles and that's how I found out about MLG. Games aren't the same anymore sadly

COD4 definitely brings back a lot of great memories.
So many hours put into that game along with MW2 |

MW2 SNIPPING all day running scrims !
Would like to see some cod4 action come back into the world would be nice or at least the prestige's emblems M40A0E <3 intervention <3 Those days will be missed |

Hitting wrote Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't add CoD 4 prestige icons in BOCW although it makes sense being that it's a different series of the games. Weird that they have legacy calling cards from the MW series though. |
