My good ol 360 (original with external hard drive) has a code 0110 RROD with 3 red lights. It looks like an art to fix via reflowing solder joints. I don't really have the time or patience for that, so, I am hoping that I can take my hard drive, plug it into another original 360, sign into my profile, and continue on my merry way.

Does it work like that, or am I SOL on getting my game saves? I don't have any downloaded games or purchased content. Just game/progress saves for games I have on disc.

I did try putting in fresh thermal paste for the GPU heatsink. That got me nowhere. Apparently that's a different error than I have. I figured out how to pull specific codes after that.

Progress saves to your profile and to the hard drive so you should be good to just plug it into a different console and continue right where you left off.
