Haven't played CoD in a few years but I see this go down every year on TTG.
Right when a game comes out, users new and old flock to the cod section to start boosting lobbies, buy bot lobbies, and try to find any way to level up as fast as possible.

I just wanna know why? I'd prefer answers from people that actually care to do this, not people that want to hate.

I'm genuinely interested because it seems like CoD games are always a hit or miss. Why waste so much time cheating instead of just playing for a few days to see if you actually enjoy the game. Any input is good input.

Mainly the people you see doing this around the beginning are people who play COD all year, so having the best camo, having the highest rank and stats all matters to them.

If the player is more wealthy than they have time why not spend a couple hundred to make up for all the time you lost not being able to stay home and play?

Then there's people like me who don't actively cheat, I play the majority of the game legit but I do make a burner account and make sure to boost it while I'm in the search of a method to find on the game, I got people who only want to buy from me so if I don't find something to sell they won't buy and we'll I like money and giving users the safest transaction for anything they want.

Hey dude!

For me I actually really enjoy playing cod in my free time!

That being said my free time is minimal haha.

I'll grab a few bot lobbies to boost my rank so I have access to the guns/camos I want etc so I can just play for fun with the guns/camos I want. I don't wanna lose a normal game cause I was trying to just get headshots etc etc

I don't boost myself so judging off what you said I shouldn't comment but I will anyway. From what I see people usually boost at first when the game comes out so they can flex their rank and unlocks to the people in their friend group. I'm sure there's a lot of other reasons but when a game is fresh like this that's usually why.

Convenience, trying to impress and laziness imo. There's a certain thrill in being one of the first to obtain something.

Becomes boring in the end. Time vs Effort but skill needs to be in the discussion..

Others being on my account/bots would ruin MY experience and love for the game. I can never tell others how they're supposed enjoy themselves though..

I play Halo. Camo's weren't even a thing

First cod i had boosted on was MW, and thats just because of the crazy requirements on launcher camos.
But now I just provide bc its wanted.

That being said; this cod is VERY easy on camos. So idk

I enjoy the game more when I have more variety on attachments. Like to get them as early as possible without putting hours in. That's all really for me, it's not a flex on my part, just laziness.

I actually really like this thread, this is a great conversation starter.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, it's twofold:

I've been with TTG for crawling up on a decade now and each time I come back to it, it's for a challenge. Whether it was Modern Warfare on Jtags/RGH or Modern Warfare 2019 now on PC, there was always a challenge to be had: What can I break? What fun can be had? Did the game devs leave anything fun on purpose (almost always the case because they like to have fun too).

The fun of it was really the driving force for me until recent years, where being an adult with responsibilities such as living expenses as opposed to a kid with his stepdad's soldering iron, forces you to do things for a profit.

Some of it has lost its sentimental value because as previously mentioned, our free time has next to vanished compared to our younger years, and that driving force of passion is still there but gets burdened by the trials of life and economic strain.

Tl;dr: It is all for the fun of it until you get old, then the fun and free time you have begins to dwindle and the time you get to play CoD, you want the best stuff you would have otherwise have had the time to unlock.
