I have a old 2011 Aurora R3 Alienware PC which currently has 3 DDR3 hyper X RAM sticks in it.
I've just noticed while doing some random checks that it only uses 8mb of ram and not the full 12? Can someone explain why this is the case and if I can increase my ram total? This is what it says in the CPU-Z validator? Memory (RAM) Total Size 12288 MB Type Triple Channel (192 bit) DDR3-SDRAM Frequency 802 MHz (DDR3-1604) - Ratio 2:12 Timings 9-9-9-24-1 (tCAS-tRC-tRP-tRAS-tCR) Slot #1 Module Kingston 4096 MB (DDR3-1337) - XMP 1.2 - P/N: KHX1600C9D3/4GX Slot #2 Module Kingston 4096 MB (DDR3-1337) - XMP 1.2 - P/N: KHX1600C9D3/4GX Slot #3 Module Kingston 4096 MB (DDR3-1337) - P/N: 9905403-439.A00LF |
