I'm looking for some advice on a new laptop. I currently have an hp with AMD A12 APU and Radeon R7 graphics. When I bought it I wasn't looking to use it for games or anything just mainly using visual studio to write code. It's done well for the most part but recently I've been using xamarin.forms in visual studio for android development and it uses a lot of resources and I'm looking for an upgrade. I want to go ahead and get something that's capable of running games this time around.

Long story short I'm wondering 2 things:
1. Would a 10th gen intel i7 and RTX 2060 suffice for a low to mid level set up?
2. Has anyone had a bad experience with HP Omen? I was initially thinking of getting an MSI because I've heard good things about them but I currently have an hp and kind of like it.

Any advice would be appreciated. I realize there are cheaper routes but I'm looking for something name brand and out of the box, not trying to custom build anything. Thanks

Doesn't look bad but I don't know much about the brand. This is what I'm looking at currently except with a different configuration (4 zone rgb keyboard, RTX 2060, windows 10 pro, few other things) and the price is only $1284. I was mainly wondering if the i7 and RTX 2060 would run new games
