Trying to find ways to clear my head been dealing with a lot recently and someone mentioned mediating, never done it or even looked nothing up about it.

I'm guessing it's not just sit there and be silent for a few minutes so any tips for someone who has never meditated before would be helpful or any websites that are good for information about it thanks.

Or even suggest ways to take my mind off things, what do you do to clear your mind?

Focus only on your breathing

The most basic way to do mindful breathing is simply to focus your attention on your breath, the inhale and exhale. You can do this while standing, but ideally you'll be sitting or even lying in a comfortable position. Your eyes may be open or closed, but you may find it easier to maintain your focus if you close your eyes. It can help to set aside a designated time for this exercise, but it can also help to practice it when you're feeling particularly stressed or anxious. Experts believe a regular practice of mindful breathing can make it easier to do it in difficult situations.

I have used the headspace app in the past. When I used it everything was free, so I hope that's still the case. Sorry to hear you're going through some stuff right now. I have an anxiety disorder so I have used it to ground myself and frame things in a better way. Exercising is another good way to help take your mind off things. Just force yourself to exercise for an hour, and you'll never regret it afterwards. Uhh one last thing is music! Music will always have your back:) it's crazy how sounds in a certain order can change the way we feel so much!

Good luck man, I believe in you!
