I have an iPhone XS Max and want to update to iOS 14 but there's always been this hovering rumour that Apple Deliberately slow older phones down in new updates.

Many years ago they did get sued for this or something like that

Do they still do it?

from the 6s upwards it won't slow down they got hit pretty hard in court for iOS updates slowing older phones down since then they've tested much harder. I still have the iPhone 6s Plus (last iPhone with headphone jack) that is the oldest iPhone that supports iOS 14 and there is no slow down at all.

I thought they did get hit with it. I'm glad they've stopped that now, money sponge that's all apple is really. Damn, isn't it time for an upgrade soon I thought they'd be slow by now
