The Jets have traded Adams, the disgruntled Pro Bowl safety, to the Seahawks for a package that includes two first-round draft picks.

The full details of the trade: Adams and a 2022 fourth-round draft pick go to Seattle, while a 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 third-round pick, a 2022 first-round pick and safety Bradley McDougald go to New York.

For the Seahawks, the headline of the deal is they've just acquired one of the league's most talented defensive players. For the Jets, the headline is that they've just gotten rid of one of the league's most disgruntled players -- and acquired more for him than most people thought they would.

Very similar trade to the Bears/Raiders Khalil Mack trade, with two 1st round picks, and a 3rd round pick. The only real difference is they also gave up McDougald and got back a 4th instead of a 2nd like the Bears did. I'm guessing Adams will be the highest paid SS in NFL history after this. With Seattle giving up that much, I've got to assume they've already worked out the basic outlines of an extension.

As a Seahawks fan I can honestly say I'm pleased with this trade.
All in all, considering Seattle's history with late first round picks; this is a massive step up for us.

I'll take this trade any day and every day and even twice on sundays. We finally have a dominant safety again.

Jamal Adams is a beast no doubt, my only concern with him is his contract against the salary cap and him only having 2 career INTs so far. But hey Seattle, if you want that extra player to push you to that Super Bowl victory again, Adams can be dat guy!

Jamal hurt luckily it's just a minor injury and he should be back soon.

Really think he is a great fit for the team. Hopefully he heals up quickly and gets back out on the field.
