SirZeel wrote So I made a few tries and found out that the downloaded save files are named "BCES00800_GOW1" while my own save files are named "BCES00791_GOW1"

Maybe that's the reason I can copy the files but the game won't read them?

If its a multi save game you should be able to see the save file. Alot of these game saves are old and might be corrupted. My advice would be to get a more up to date version of the save file your looking for

This is good advice, thank you.
Sadly, online I can only find the same file over and over.

Have you tried youtube? Obviously be careful when downloading from there but if you search for a god of war save file and sort it by upload date it'll show you all the recent uploads for them. I'd also sort it by view count just to find ones that are more safe

I'm trying right now, but so far I only found the US version and not the EU version.
Also I've seen there is the possibility to modify your save file, that could be an idea too?

Theres a program called modio that used to exist and still exists (Its kicking around somewhere) that used to let you resign and rehash save files through it and also view that save file. Thsts how i used to do it to see if a save was corrupted or not. It might be kicking around on here actually in downloads. If not just Google modio and it should come up. Its a little M within a blue circle.

EDIT: It does still exist. Should look like this

I think Modio is only for XBOX 360, actually.

No harm in trying to help. Still thanks!
I've downloaded a save file from 2018 and still doesn't work. I'm starting to think the problem lies elsewhere.

I don't understand. There must be something wrong with the game or the save file, I'm sure.

Just now I tried to download save files for another game and everything worked perfectly well in 5 mins: download, put folder in PS3/SAVEDATA, load the pendrive in the PS3 and done.

There must be something wrong with the game and/or the version. I am searching save data for God of War Collection EU version for PS3. I find it, load it on my PS3 and so far so good... but the game simply won't recognize it.

Is there anything wrong I do in this procedure?

Quick question and rather silly one. Are you loading it from the right place? Also if your loading it straight from your internal drive have you tried to launch it from.your pen drive instead of your internal? Could just be your pen drive playing up with that particular game
