Current Specs:

CPU - Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
RAM - 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
Motherboard - Gigabyte B85-HD3
GPU - XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX 8GB
SSD - Crucial 500GB
HDD - 1TB Western Digital Drive
PSU - Corsair CX750M, Model No. - 75-002019

Budget - £300-400, flexible up to £500 depending on advice but would ideally like to stay within this budget.

Overall Goal:

I'd like a faster more powerful machine that's able to handle more recent games, general workload and multi tasking across 2 monitors.

I've noticed my CPU struggles with a few applications open and reaches 100% or close to whilst running a game and discord, with a web cam on occasionally, have to turn off due to affecting my game.

The items i would like to upgrade is the CPU, Motherboard, Ram to DDR4, adding another hard drive and potentially a new psu depending if it's needed or if i can get by with my current one and maybe a new case. I'm happy with the GPU, SSD and current HDD so would carry it over to a new build if needed.

Most components have not been upgraded since my original build around 6 years ago so generally just looking to update my build.

Thanks for any help in advance, this is my first post so apologies if there are any errors.

Great thank you for the help i'll have a look!

Also is there much of a difference between the ryzen 3600 and the 3600x, would it be worth spending a bit more ?

Thanks again
