I have been playing Xbox using a wireless internet connection for a few months now, when im playing Fortnite my Ping keeps going from 28 Ping to 300-500 for a few seconds then back down to the 20s again. It's annoying asf
My question is if i buy a Ethernet cable and connect it from my Xbox to router will this improve my connection and stop my connection being unstable? My internet speed is 35mb and my broadband provider is sky. Thank you |

I mean I do slightly get it on fortnite but not to a point where I notice it |

You will notice a definite increase in network performance when you hardwire especially if your internet is only 35mbs |

You could try powerline ethernet, an easy solution rather than running an ethernet cable all around the house. Powerline box plugs into a power outlet beside your router and you run an ethernet cable from the box to the router, you then plug another powerline box into the room where your Xbox is and run an ethernet from that box to your Xbox. |

Thank you for the reply Does this work just as good as a Ethernet cable? If it does i will buy this tomorrow! |

I use it and honestly have no issues, really great piece of equipment. TP-LINK AV600 |
