Looking for a gaming monitor, 144hz minimum, 27" preferably, don't mind if curved or if there's anything better which has a bigger screen.

Budget: £400

Pls help me PC gurus

Can possibly go over budget if needs be.

What CPU + GPU are you using?

Assuming those are up to par, I'd be looking at an MSI MAG271CQR. Should be 300-350 quid.

Running Ryzen 9 3900x and an RTX 2080TI.

I shall have a look, I'm OK to go a bit over budget if needs be for a better panel for instance

Yeah, definitely grab a 1440p144Hz monitor then. You can get some cheaper options under 300 quid, which would still be a great choice. If you're happy spending between £300 and 400 though, then yeah as I said, MAG271CQR is a solid choice;

As you said you don't mind going over 400 quid, you could look at some 3440x1440 monitors if you like ultrawide;

100Hz instead of 144Hz though.

The price seems to have dropped by a substantial amount almost everywhere overnight, newer model released or something?

Normal pricing for the MAG271CQR, it's been in between £300 and 350 for ages, prices just go up and down. Now's a good time to buy the 271CQR because it's unlikely to get much cheaper than £300, if at all.

The MAG272CQR came out a while ago which replaces the 271CQR, but there aren't huge differences and the newer model isn't worth the extra 100 quid IMO.
