Secondly, you won't be making use of a 144Hz display with a console anyway, so the extra cost over a 60Hz display is wasted. Either buy a 1080p60Hz display, or 4k60Hz.

You're not going to be getting a decent 4k panel for £200. You're looking at £250, at least. This is the cheapest 4k monitor I can find, but it's truly bottom of the barrel;

I wouldn't buy this tbh. LG have some 27" 4K IPS monitors that I've seen on sale for £250 occasionally. Otherwise, you should easily find a 27/28" 4K IPS/VA monitor for £300ish.

Alternatively, what I would probably be doing for a console, just buy a 4k TV. I've seen some 42/43" Toshiba/Hisense/etc models go on sale for £240/250 on Currys and Amazon.That's probably your best option for use with a console IMO.

Thanks for you're reply, so you think I'm better off with 4K rather than 144hz if I'm just using for console?

Yes.

The LG is a lot cheaper but looks similar or is it worth getting the Lenovo for that bit extra if someone could help it would be much appreciated

would these still be better than the basic 4 year old benq monitor I have now as I can't afford 4K one at the moment.. I was thinking of the LG would I be able to run that at 120hz on Xbox and notice a
Difference to my old monitor that's just 1080p running at 50hz

I'd recommend getting what works best for you. Personally, i'd have a monitor because of the refresh rate it provides but it also depends if your console can support it.
