Hi guys

Hope everyone is doing well at this tough time. Since in the UK we are on lockdown now I was hoping to gain access to my first ever YouTube channel. In a fit of rage I closed the channel about 7/8 years ago but want to gain access to it again to reminisce.

If any could suggest how I could do this it would be deeply appreciated

It is not possible to recover user deleted channels if that's what you mean by "closed". They had a "request account recovery" form on Youtube Help but was removed awhile ago.

If you forgot the password, you can go through a verification form filled with security questions and the phone number(s) you added when creating the account.

if you hid your channel, making it private or anonymous, simple account settings can change the privacy of your channel and videos.
