Hi Everyone,
I'd like to get your advice on whether or not I should get a new build or just upgrade what I currently have. I shoot photography and all the pics are high resolution. I have Adobe Creative Cloud, so I use Lightroom and Photoshop a lot. I will also be editing a lot of videos in the future as well, with Adobe's video editing programs. So here's what I'm currently running with: Windows 10 Pro MSI 990FXA-GD80 (MS-7640) AMD FX (tm) - 8350 Eight Core Processor RAM 16 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Air cooling 64 bit operating System, x64-based processor 500 gb and 4tb of storage The problem with my current system is that it keeps crashing every time I'm working on my pictures and it takes a long time to edit a single picture and quite frankly, I'm tired of this system and I'm afraid it will keep crashing even with upgrades. Is it better to just get a new Intel build (which is what I really want) or just upgrade what I currently have? If a new Intel build is better, what do you recommend with a budget of $3k? Please include all parts and links. Also can some of my parts from my current system be used in the new build? I want lots of storage and something that's going to allow me to work on pictures in a faster and smoother way. What is better Air or Liquid cooling and which build tends to last longer? Thank you for your input and sorry about the long rant. |
