What would be better? (I know there's a way to do it myself, but I don't trust myself to do it lol) would it be better to take it to Best Buy and have them clean it or should I just get a cooling kit? or would it be better to just do both? Here are some of the cooling kits I was looking at.

It's most likely due to not enough airflow to the fan or dust / hair build ups in the PS4 causing the fan to have a blockage and an improper cooling.

If it's been overheating for a while now. The best bet is to bring it to a professional that can clean it out or hope that an attachable cooling system will help. Cleaning it yourself without any knowledge may end up with other problems and missing bolts.

I had the exact same problem, and opened up my PS4 slim, you would be surprised the amount of dust/fluff in and around the components. Grab yourself a AirDuster. If problem still isn't resolved, then yeah as the above user said take it to a professional cleaner.

- Something as cheap and cheerful as this would do.
