Hello, I have a few simple questions I'm hoping to have answered. I bought my machine in 2015 and I have a friend who is willing to give me a 980 GPU and a 500GIG M2 Size SSD HD. Will these two new pieces of hardware be compatible with my current machine? Thanks, Kevin |

Yes, both are compatible. The GTX 980 is a straight swap for your 970, no problems at all.
With the m.2 installed, you'll have 2 SATA ports disabled. That will be fine though since you only have 2 SATA drives, and should have at least 6 SATA ports. Just worth noting for any future storage upgrades. |
