Hey guys, I'm working on a new YT series going over how you can increase the quality of your computer regarding streaming and generalized content creation for less money.
Here is a video talking about why you should stop spending $45+ on the Blue Snowball, when you can get a better sounding microphone with more features for $20! |

It's not often I'll do a post on someone advertising their YT clips but that "budget mic" is literally filtering out everything else apart from the high end of your voice making it seem "cleaner" which, if you listen back to it, actually sounds worse IMO. Both mics are not amazing but, I'd go with the snowball here mostly because it pics up more range in your voice rather than filtering out the lows and just projecting the high notes of the Boya. |

I'd say $20 qualifies as "budget", and if you watched the video you'd know I said that the Snowball sounds better, but that it isn't a better value. |

With a headline of "STOP Buying the Blue Snowball!" , this is just clickbait if you're going with that story then because you yourself said that it sounds better. If they are out of eachothers price range then why are you comparing them? If you want to go for a better comparison, the audio from an in ear headphone which you get from any smart phone would be a better comparison since most have them to hand rather than going out and spending $20 on a mic. Might aswell save another $20 and buy the snowball or even better a modmic |
