Bleak Creak is a short story I wrote, it isn't fully finished however its at a stage where Ill allow reviews of it. If you like this story, please leave a review below.

The Creak was empty, shallow and morbid, it was a disgusting place putrid and desolate. Muddy waters and contaminated crops, it was a place no one dared to visit.

Maggots writhed and squirmed through the corpses, ripping open the pustules and squirting their vile yellow goo onto everything, the smell enough to suffocate you.

Bewitched by man, hid a young girl deep beneath the creaks watery chasm, chained and bound no possible chance to escape. Her eyes gouged and filled with sand.

Teeth like razer blades, hair no where to be seen. The stench of her rotting flesh as her boils burst open. Her tongue cut from her mouth like a worm ripped from the ground.

She was evil incarnate and during her 3000 year rest deep underwater her poisonous roots spread across the Creak, villfying and mutilating the beautiful land around it.

One day however, a lowly bard Arianas was travelling from his city in search of a new place to call home. It was during his search that he ended up in the nearby forest.

The white forest, bristling with dead trees black tar sunken earth ripped of its essence by the witches poisonous touch, ashen tree and crimson leaves the dead forest hungered for life.

Arianas trapsed his way through the forest, scared and alone he was terrified. The mortal screams of the witch bellowed through the water and throughout the white forest.

The white forests creeping fog disorientating and blinding Arianas. The whistle of the wind as it blasts its way through the dead rot like thunder upon the ground.

Arianas was lost, nightfall lingered and in desperation he set up camp. A small log fire to cast light into a shadowy abyss. Tent of log and leaf his only reside. The monstrous chasm dwelled so close to him, he could feel the poison seething through the ground tugging at the branches of his tent.

Arianas set to sleep, head slumbered upon a tiny pillow made of straw. Legs clumbered together against his chest to keep warm.

Arianas suddenly awoke, heart thumping like the beat of a thousand drums. Eyes shut close by frost, tongue seeping with black viscous slime dripping from his mouth.

Arianas looked down, and saw a mutilated black hand bound to his leg like vines. Nails sunk into his flesh, with green pus oozing and blood exploding out of the wound. The witched had her grasp upon him.

Arianas presence within the forest had awoken her, her 3000 year slumber had come to end. She is free, the chains once buried beneath her lifeless flesh are no longer.

Arianas ripped the hand from his leg, and in the process discarding his own flesh, stripping it from the bone. In agonising pain Arianas curled up in a ball as the poison ran through his veins.

A muffled voice from the tree eerily whispered "You're mine now", Arianas swiftly passed out into a comatose state. The void became his home now.

Arianas drifted deeper and deeper into the darkness, his mind devoid of all humanity as his very essence was torn from his body like an unwanted fetus.

Thousands of years past, until one day he finally awoke. Chained to the bottom of a lake, it was Arianas who now awaited freedom. He was now the keeper of Bleak Creak.
