Hey guys! okay so I am new to this pc stuff but I would like to build the cheapest gaming pc possible (like 200 or less type of cheap) (i'm okay with parts being from ebay) I got this old old emachines Desk top and I know things will be needing upgrades but the minimum requirements I need are as follows:
OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1 Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHZ (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHZ (8 CPUs) Memory: 8GB Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD7870 2GB Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible HDD Space: 65GB really I just want to be able to mess around with Gta 5 on this pc and that's about it so these are the recommended requirements to play gta 5 on a pc so any recommendations on what things to upgrade and whats the smartest way to go about this? here are some pictures of the desk top: [Minimum post requirement for links] |

The PSU you have in there seems to be a 250W, which isn't that great when it comes to adding a graphics card because it might not be able to handle the power it needs. Plus the CPU's you mentioned I'm not even sure would be compatible with that motherboard, I know the Intel wouldn't cuz it's an AMD board, but anything pre-Ryzen I'm lost on. That was a pre-built designed for Vista, and that age of PC components wouldn't really be able to even launch GTA V, sorry to say :/ |

| sorry I'm new to this forum posting but next time I will create a new post and also I figured I would need to start from scratch so thats not problem just was giving an idea of what I'm working with and stuff but thank you so much! |

There's some damn good budget options for gaming, but not many that will be under 200 flat, You could go for a budget case like the 100R for about $55 USD as a starting point, it fits ATX, Micro ATX, so you get options, and go from there, but it really is best to buy your parts all at once, cuz if one is dead on arrival, and you've already had it for a few months waiting for the next part, they might not help cuz the timeframe. But even a Ryzen 3 1200 and an AMD RX 580 would be a decent combo for GTA V, they are a bit older but they would still hold up well today |
