I heard it's already spread to the US. Two confirmed cases being quarantined. Dozens more suspected. Scary shit. I know everyone has seen the meme about a deadly virus every 100 years 1720, 1820, 1920, 2020 but shit just doesn't seem right. Been trying to keep up to date with it but I've seen a lot of media posts be removed while reading into it.

I saw a local news article 2 days ago that someone in my local college (which just went back in session this week) is being quarantined under suspicion of having it. That really freaked me out because I work at a McDonalds where lots of college kids come through and a few of them have been sick and apologizing and I really wish we could refuse sick people service.


People who've had it have lied too one woman from China who knew she had signs of it lied to go to France for a holiday knowing she was unwell so now France has it.

The biggest issue are those kind of people who know they have it but just spread it around.

Been confirmed to spread before signs you have it even show and that you can have it between 1-14 days before signs show.

That changes things a lot and now the reason for the panic is becoming more clear.

Yea, but no one needs to be afraid honestly. The only deaths that have occured from this have been elderly people who are currently sick with something.

As long as the corpses don't start reanimating we should be ok. But China has been burning the bodies I've heard so who knows.

Like every other virus it's being overblown by everyone. It's a new Virus so that's why everyone is nervous about it, but the way people are talking about it, you'd think it was something out of Plague Inc and the world is going to end. SARS at this point was much worse than this virus, and had a lasting effect on China to this day which is probably why they are overreacting with everything there. It's better to overreact than to do nothing though. Problem is people keep overreacting to events like this, and when something serious does pop up they won't take it as serious.

Perhaps there is stuff we don't know and being hidden, I wouldn't put it past China.They didn't take SARS serious and acted like it was nothing, I'd hope they haven't did the same or covered things up. The governments being transparent in cases like this is vital as to not create even more panic than there is already. The deaths are mostly eldery/weak people with underlying health issues, it's not as though healthy people are dropping dead. On a worldwide scale we are better prepared for things such as this, especially after the SARS outbreak which had a high fatality rate.

I just think China are taking it very seriously, too seriously but like I said after what happened with SARS and the mess that was, they are not going to make the same mistakes, no holds barred with regards to stopping mass spread of it; everything including their health care has been overhauled since then. The media is doing no favours by getting everyone to panic about this, when really you shouldn't be, If people want to stress and panic about this, go ahead but I know I'll be sleeping sound at night with very little thought or care about this. If there's reason for concern we should of course take it serious but until then, chill out guys and go to the winchester and wait for all this to blow over in a month or two.
