Im looking to buy an external drive for more space.
Can anyone say which brands are the best for drives, or even a specific drive

SSDs are "10x" quicker than mechanical disks. If the HDD would just be used for photos, films etc I would recommend: Western Digital HDD.

Currently on offer at a great price.

Use diskprices.com to find the best price for the capacity and size you want. Western Digital, Toshiba, and Seagate are currently the only HDD manufacturers and they're all fine.

Filtered: diskprices.com/?disk_types=extern...p;units=TB

For external, would suggest a Samsung one, for future reference, if you want an internal SSD try to get a NVME m.2 one if your mobo has a m.2 slot.
